Green Fields Re-visited

(Released in 1976)

Following their contributions to the successful folk music record Green Fields of Illinois in 1963, the Mayfields released their own LP under the "Green Fields" name. It’s opening track would go on to become the Mayfield’s best known song....even receiving serious consideration for becoming the Official State Song of Illinois.
